Office of Sustainability and its campus partners are pleased to present the 2014-15 digital edition of Sustainability at Stanford: A Year in Review, which showcases the actions and achievements of the university to advance campus sustainability during the academic year. This annual publication presents a comprehensive view of Stanford as an institution that invests in sustainability across all aspects of campus life.

The Features in this report provide background and outline progress on sustainability initiatives across key operational and programmatic topic areas. They describe the operational milestones and performance achievements of the past year, with an emphasis on Stanford’s many accomplishments and its effort to push ever forward as a leader in the practice of sustainable campus operations.

Monthly Snapshots highlight the steady pulse of sustainability on campus throughout the year and showcase the multitude of activities that take place across many different sustainability topics. These vary from bold and ambitious projects to grassroots efforts, and the stories help to convey the strategic and collaborative elements of Stanford’s integrated, flourishing culture of sustainability.

All of the initiatives highlighted in our report represent collaborative efforts across multiple entities and areas of expertise at Stanford.
