Hundreds of students came together at Earthfest on April 24 to celebrate Stanford students’ sustainability initiatives. The festival, organized each year by Students for a Sustainable Stanford, aims to engage new students in Stanford’s sustainability culture. Over a dozen student organizations welcomed attendees with games, food, information booths, and live music from Siberian Front and the Stanford Marching Band.

Earthfest was strategically scheduled during both Earth Week and Admit Weekend, when prospective students are invited to visit the campus before making final enrollment decisions. By introducing prospective students to Stanford’s sustainability opportunities, Students for a Sustainable Stanford hopes to support continued engagement in future undergraduate cohorts and emphasize sustainability as a priority at Stanford.
