Stanford Earns First Place in Sustainable Campus Index Category for Diversity and Affordability
The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) recognized Stanford as a leader in diversity and affordability in its recently released 2015 Sustainable Campus Index. The index highlights ten top-performing colleges and universities in 17 areas, as measured by the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS). More than 700 colleges and universities participated in STARS in 2015.
Stanford earned first place in the Diversity and Affordability category for its nearly perfect scores on diversity and equity coordination, diversity and equity assessment, support for underrepresented groups, support for future faculty diversity, and affordability and access. In addition, Stanford ranked in the top tenĀ in the Research, Purchasing, and Transportation categories.
