In May 2015, Stanford more than doubled its number of electric vehicle charging stations on campus. Parking & Transportation Services replaced 6 charging stations with 14 new stations located in high-demand parking areas. Charging stations will also be installed in a new parking structure currently being constructed beneath Roble Field.

All electric vehicle charging stations are open to the public and are Level 2 (240V charging via SAE J1772 connector). Payment options include Google Wallet, Apple Pay, Charge Point card, and EMV credit card.
